Good Day to you all Muttonistas , a quick update.
Firstly City made sure of their Champions League place with a 2-0 win at Fulham , a result that was less comfortable than the scoreline suggests
Fulham is a great away trip ands the locals are very hospitable , after the match a pleasant walk along the banks of the thames and on to a pub that I’d been meaning to try for a while , the Bricklayers Arms in Putney

BELFAST IN A DAY
Many of you had been crying out for a trip to Belfast , and so I thought I’d visit in my popular day trip format.
I vaguely remember in the early 90s and a decade later, Guinness in Northern Ireland coming out in a weak trickle a bit like in England. A viewer has disputed my assertion that the Guinness wasn’t great back then, and it might be that I was being guided by locals during the troubles and wasn’t being taken to the top spots , but what I experienced is not was clearly not as good as I was getting in the south.

Some great pubs and pints, including Beamish, which isn’t available usually in Britain. I think Madden’s was the best pint but close behind The Morning Star which also serves great food (I went for the chowder). As it happens I’ll be back shortly to do some instagram reviews , maybe the same pubs but maybe some others. Lot’s coming up including my US tour but a few bits and pieces before I go.
See you on the next one Muttonistas!
